The Forkardt Shaft Chuck (FSC) allows one continuous turning operation. Its jaws are designed to extend and retract during the turning operation. Chuck jaws are extended to clamp the shaft. As the turning tool approaches the end of the workpiece, the chuck jaws retract, driving the shaft with (3) replaceable carbide drive pins or drive blades. The result is one non-interrupted, continuous turning operation. This unique design feature is a major advantage over conventional chucks which require two operations and / or two machines to maintain shaft turning production, and can cut your turning operation cost in half. This video demonstrates the Forkardt Tru-Change system being utilized in a off line part loading station. The customer is using 630mm 4-jaw independent chucks. They load that part into the chuck on this station, and the machine is running. They then stir the part in, on this station. Once the part if finished in the machine, it is removed. They then move the chuck, with the part, from the loading station, into the machine. Both the station and the machine have Forkardt Tru-Change rings mounted to them. This allows the chuck to stay on centerline, within .0002" or 5 microns. So as the chuck, with the part, are loaded into the machine, there is no further setup required. The operator begins the machining process. They leave the machine and then proceed to unload the previous machined part, and then load a new part, and begin the process again.

This is a new design that has been successfully field tested in a production environment and is now available for sale. Dieses Schwenkfutter wurde speziell für die Bearbeitung größerer Muffen entwickelt und zeichnet sich durch Robustheit, Genauigkeit und Zuverlässigkeit aus. Die Spannung erfolgt mit 6 Backen, wobei 3 Backen zentrisch spannen und 3 Backen ausgleichend der Spannbewegung folgen. Das Spannfutter besteht aus einem nitrierten Futterkörper mit einem um 180° schwenkbaren Spannring.
